AR Local Food Network to Host Local Food Tour

Join the Arkansas Local Food Network for its first ever Little Rock Local Food Tour, Sunday, October 14 between 12:30-5 p.m. in Little Rock.

The event will start at the Bernice Garden Farmers Market (14th and Main streets) and will wind, via foot, bicycle, and even hay riding, around the South Main Street area, touring community gardens, restaurants, businesses, farms, and artisan producer stands with stops, samples, and demonstrations along the way..

The tour will end with a locally-sourced, four-course dinner and show between 5-7 p.m. at the Bernice Garden, catered by the Boulevard Bread Company, with wine and Diamond Bear beer, plus local food stories and music provided by the Tales From the South.

Tickets for the tour are $25 and $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets for the dinner are $45. The tour and dinner package costs $65. Tickets are available at several downtown and South Main locations. Proceeds will go toward the first edition of the Arkansas Local Food Network’s Fresh Local Food Directory, a list and map of central Arkansas community gardens, farms, restaurants, and businesses.
