Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola will speak at this month’s general membership meeting for the Bicycle Advocacy for Central Arkansas (BACA), Wednesday, July 11 at the Capital Hotel (111 West Markham Street) in downtown Little Rock. RSVP by clicking here.
With new revenue from the city’s recent sales tax increase and a property tax renewal vote coming up soon, this is the perfect time to discuss how cycling and active transportation can be incorporated more deeply into the city’s future plans. In addition, BACA’s new website will be ready for viewing, and the new membership structure will be up and running. The Arkansas Bicycle Club will also join BACA for this event.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Capital Hotel Ballroom. Water and light hors d’oeuvres will be available. If you’d like to eat and/or drink something more substantial, come early or stay late and grab dinner in the Capital Bar and Grill. BACA members will get a 10% discount on food that night. The Ted Lugwig jazz trio will crank up at around 5 p.m. and should continue playing long after the meeting finishes.
Bike parking will be available, either indoors in another meeting room or in the secure parking lot outside.
Please RSVP so that the Capital Hotel staff has a sense of how many seating to prepare.
Visit BACA website for more information.
