Make Your Own All-Purpose Cleaner

I’m cheap. I hate to pay more for something I can make easily for a minimal amount of money.

I also hate packaging. I view them as wasteful, and I do everything I can to avoid them.

Making your own all-purpose cleaner is easy, costs way less than supermarket alternatives, and eliminates packaging. Here’s what you do:

  1. Combine 1/2 teaspoon washing soda, 2 teaspoons borax, and 1/2 teaspoon liquid soap or detergent in a spray bottle.
  2. Pour in 2 cups hot water.
  3. Screw on the lid, and shake to completely blend and dissolve.
  4. Spray and clean.

You may have lots of borax, washing soda, and liquid soap left over after making this recipe. No worries! Use them to clean toilet bowels, scrub sinks, and wash dishes. (I’ll explain how in future posts.)

So, save money and eliminate waste. Make your own all-purpose cleaner!
