Make Your Own Glass Cleaner

Don’t buy Windex. Make your own glass cleaner at home!

It’s super easy to make your own glass cleaner. Here’s what you do:

  1. Mix 1/8 cup vinegar and 1 cup water in a spray bottle.
  2. Shake and apply.
  3. Wipe clean.

Making your own glass cleaner saves you money. Stores charge anywhere between $2.50 to $5 for a bottle of Windex. Vinegar, on the other hand, costs anywhere between $1 to $3, and you only use 1/8 cup at a time.

When you make your own glass cleaner, you reuse your spray bottle. Every time you buy Windex, you bring home a plastic container, adding to your waste stream. Making your own glass cleaner, therefore, is cheaper AND greener.

So, stop spending money on Windex and start making your own glass cleaner at home!
